Adventure # 1J
For those fit enough we have a trek of a lifetime. Pai Adventures is the only outfitter in Pai offering a once in a lifetime trek through an amazing cave system. Our cave follows a stream that cuts it’s way through the mountains of the Soppong jungle. During your 8 hour trek you will see underground waterfalls, an underground lake, hundreds of stalactites and stalagmites that took millions of years to form, and if you are lucky any number of albino creatures that call the cave home. This truly is an adventure you will never forget. It is 12 kilometers of one jaw-dropping sight after another.
Your guide will lead the way down the scenic mountain for 1 hour to the entrance of the cave. At the cave entrance you will do a gear check and prepare yourself for 8 hours underground. Your guide will lead the way through the cave showing you the safest path to take. You will get time to gaze at the wonders during your trip. You will also get breaks while waiting for the guide to fix ropes for your safety. There are some very perilous sections in the cave that require teamwork. Your guide will ask for assistance in these areas. Roughly halfway through your adventure the guide will serve you lunch inside the cave. You will then trek the rest of the cave until you see the sunlight and crawl out. He will then lead you on an hour trek up the mountain to be picked up and return to Pai. (DIFFICULT)
*This adventure does have some technical sections thus we do not allow children to do the entire cave. We do have an option for those with older children (half cave).
